Georgia Mountain Fair - July 18 -26, 2014

The Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds plays host to several popular annual events including the Georgia Mountain Fair, which will be from July 18th thru July 26th this year. In addition, the fairgrounds also host the Georgia Mountain Roots & Music Festival, the Superstar Concert Series, the Georgia Mountain Fall Festival and Georgia’s Official State Fiddler’s Convention, please see contact information below for further information.

The Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds are located along the shores of beautiful Lake Chatuge in the north Georgia mountain community of Hiawassee and is only about an hour from Franklin, North Carolina. The Fairgrounds offer a wide-variety of unique venues, and beautiful year-round camping facilities.

This year will be the 65th annual Georgia Mountain Fair, held at the historic Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds this summer! Thousands of visitors from across the region have experienced the excitement and nostalgia that the event has to offer. With first class musical performances, fun carnival rides, unique attractions and a glimpse into the areas rich history and culture, the Fair provides something for every member of the family.

Directions:

From Franklin, take US-64 W/Murphy Rd towards Murphy for about 30 miles, take a left onto N Carolina 175 S and turn right to stay on 175S after about a mile., you will enter GA in about 3 miles. Continue onto GA-75S for about another 3 miles until you come to Bell Street, where you will take a slight left, take Bell street for about another mile until you come to Frank Street, which will be on your left. It takes a little less than an hour from Franklin, NC to get to Hiawassee, GA.
